korallin Cr is about to fly out the window
Ok I read about how much free time you get after setting one of these up but the past 2 years I have spent more time trying to keep my drip rate constant and reading the forums on this subject than the time I spent adding suplements in 5 years
I know how to adjust the reactor but I cant get the drip rate to stay constant I had it T ed of my return pump for 6 months and it still whent out of adjustment I fed it with a mj1200 same thing I have spent so much money on reactor media every time I go away for the weekend and come back the drip rate has slowed down or stopped and the media is mush I even tried dripping out of the outlet on top only (#1 according to korallin but #2 according to dragonslayers guide)and still the same I am about to buy a ph controller but if the reactor goes flying out the window that will be another waste of $$$$ I know I'm not the only one with this problem cause i have spent countless hours reading and searching this forum Has anyone else who felt helpless to this situation overcome it somehow Havent been on reefcentral in a while so I reread everything and heard dragonslayer was band that s*cks cause it seems like he was the pro on these |

I don't use a korallin (deltec myself) but I would never attempt running a CR without a real dosing pump of some sort.
I would suggest looking into a masterflex, a bellows pump of some sort, or an LMI-type magnetic pump (if you can put it somewhere that the noise won't bother you. Any of these will provide very consistent flow rates against any amount of head that you could throw at them. |

it will probably be better than teeing off of a return, etc., but you will still be at the mercy of a needle valve.
keep an eye out on ebay for a masterflex pump. .you can get one for about $40. I've also seen some in the selling forum here. |

I run mine with an Aqualifter. I'd tried running it without the Aqualifter once, and I can never keep my drip rate constant.
