Wheres my membership card? Ashtons 180 + 55 build thread

I'm officially part of the "large reef tank" group! Put it up today. Stats on the tank are: 180 Gallons, 55 gallon probably sump, or maybe a 30 gallon sump. Either way i'm well over 200 gallons. Two 400 watt metal halides for lighting, building a closed loop system for powerheads / flow.

Still need - Saltwater, submersable pump, two 1.5in bulkheads. LIVESTOCK, lots of livestock. andddddd a little time to cycle =)

and of course. What good is any thread without pictures? er a picture for now.

Give me input / advice / your .02 cents.

good luck with the build...i set up a 180 back in july and loved the size.fortunately i got a really really good deal at my LFS on a 365 so i will be upgrading yet again.i have a 55 gallon sump and i like it because its big enough for my g4x skimmer and a good size fuge.plenty of room

I just joined the club too... Here's my thread. Hopefully you can get some of your questions answered from it and get a leg up on the whole thing. Namely... I was thinking submersible pump until I started throwing ideas around.

First cent...[queue Jefferson's theme song] congrats on the purchase and welcome.

Second cent...plan, don't rush & ask questions. Worst thing you can do is spend money on something and change it out for a better solution right after. If I could only have a nickel for every piece of crap I no longer use...
