Bulb life questions...
Hey guys...
In general...what is the lifespan of T-5 HO (54 watt) bulbs and compact flourescent (power compacts found in the Aquapods) bulbs before they need to be replaced? Thanks, Jim |

T5 = Blues, about 12 months. Whites, about 18 months. But these are generalizations. How cool they run has an impact on bulb life as well and so does brand with the higher quality bulbs probably holding usuable PAR and spectrum longer than the cheapies.
I dont know much about PC's but they need more frequent replacement. Someone else will chime in. |

Thanks....
I wasn't really thinking about the topic until I read something earlier and realized I have not changed the bulbs in my 24g Aquapod and they are the original bulbs with about 16 months on them . Time to change! Jim |
