Raising SPS using T5s on a 120?

Could I use T5s on my new 120 and be able to keep any SPS I want to? I am currently using 250W MHs on my 125 but would like to change to T5s on my new 120 because of hood design. How deep of a tank can you use T5s on, a 120 is 24" deep? How many 48" T5 bulbs can an Icecap 660 power?

Of course you can use T5s on a 120... there are tons of tanks that show this works and works well. You can have sps on the bottom if you have enough T5s. A IC 660 can power 4 x 48" T5s.

So I was thinking possibley 8 54W T5s powered by two IceCap 660s on my 24" deep 120. This setup would hopefully reduce my electricity consumption, heat transfer and make it possble for a smaller hood. Any pics of 24" deep tanks using similiar setups?

Who has the best prices on T5s?

I'm also curious to see 24" deep tanks housing SPS corals with T-5's.

I am running a 125, with SPS only, and the lighting is the 8 blaze from sunlight supply, working great so far.
all ATI bulbs
