Tangs coexsisting in a 280....
Would it be a bad idea to house five tangs together? Looking at a powder blue , yellow and purple tang and either achilles or gold rim to add with my existing blue tang.. Or would 4 be better? Has anybody has experiences with Achilles/powder blue and gold rim in the same tank together? Thanks for your suggestions and personal experience. Not trying to turn this into people bashing each other please.
Current tank mates: Blue Tang Emperor Angel Morish Idol 5 Lyretail Anthias Pair of ocellaris clownfish Lawnmower blenny Might add a fairy wrasse or three but thats probably it. |

Thanks for your experience but i don't plan on either of those tangs both get large and the sohal will become too aggressive.

I house a purple, kole, blue hippo, and sailfin in my 250, they seem happy as can be. I added the hippo and sailfin first, then the kole, then the purple last. Not sure if it matters, i think a bit of luck is involved.

I would probably do them all at once and if i had to achilles last. Im just worried if i do the achilles separate the rest of the tangs specially the powder blue would give it a hard time..

I believe this week im finally going to be adding a 2.5inch yellow tang , 3inch purple tang, 2.5inch powder blue tang, a 3.5inch achilles tang and a 2inch Mandarin. You guys think this is too much at one time for my tank? Tank has been up and running now almost a year.
