HELP! Pipe diameter & ret pump size?
I am setting up a new RR Perfecto 220g and I need some tech help. It has two corner overflows that are predrilled in the bottom of the tank. The drain pipe is 2" (26" inches high) but it goes through a 1" fitting above a 1 1/2 " bulkhead.
Q1-What diameter pipe should I use to bring the water down to the sump? Q2- Which return pump(s) should I use? I would like to use two for addl safety. Would 2 Sequence Darts be too much? |

If you are going to use the darts they require 2 inch suction pipe.
Also two darts running through a sump is going to be scary. That is a ton of water. Mabe try them in a closed loop application.

Nebraska Reefer
![]() To Reef Central (2) 1" drains to the sump should be fine. I would target ~ 650 - 1000 GPH depending on the sump size. (2) Darts would be way too much. In a Reeflo, I would use a single Tarpon, and dial it back some.
