Red Bubble Algae - What eats it???
So I have been battling some algae's over the past few months since summer took most of my time and my tank didn't get the attention it could have.
I have some small chunks of red bubble algae forming. I've been pulling it out by hand and scraping whatever it is on for the past few weeks and it is gone away lots. There are still some small spots where it lingers. Does anything actually eat it? I had an emerald crab for a few months but he didn't touch it at all. Not even sure if anything really does eat it? Maybe a mithrix crab? Anyone know what is the best way to get rid of red bubble algae?

I had the same problem and Emerald Crabs worked like a charm for me.. It was gone within a week and hasn't returned. Emeralds can be hit and miss but they were the only thing to work for me.

I had an emerald and it lasted for about 2 months. It was a big crab for my tank but it was always a slow mover. One day I found it upside down so I flipped it over, it moved around for another few slow days and then died. I pulled it out before the others ate it.
Maybe i'll try another small one. Was your bubble algae the red kind or green kind?
