test kits brand...
Can anyone attest to the quality of "Seachem" brand test kits? There's a really good sale for their ammonia/nitrite/nitrate test kits. I just want to know if anyone has used them before and has some feedback. I know that the best one is salifert, but I can't afford those atm. Thanks!!

I had their test kit. I didn't like them because I thought it was difficult to read the color chart that was like a sliding scale. Also the fact that the samples are in small dishes, making it hard to get a good side by side. The ammonia test is a pain with the yellow discs. I have found API and Tetra Tests to be easy to use.

The SeaChem calcium test kit has gotten a lot of reviews for not working all that well. The chemistry forum has a lot of threads on test kits, if you want to do some searching and reading.
