Pump Recommendation!
Going to have my sump/fuge 75 gallon along with a 30 gallon long frag tank in the basement plumbed up to the first floor of my house to a 72 bowfront aquarium. What pump have you used for a similar setup or what pump would you recommend to use! I am open to any and all pumps! Thank you in advance!

Did anyone notice the OP is asking for a basement pump?
I'd use an external pump since they handle the high head a lot better. Gen-X PCX30, PanWord 100PX are a couple that would work.

The OR and the Eheims will not work pumping up from the basement. You need a return pump capable of high head. I'd guess you are probably talking about pumping up 10-12 feet to the top of the display? Maybe more like 16 feet?
You need a pump that can handle that kind of head. Maybe a Pan World 100PX. I think that would give you around 500 gph at the display which is about right.

That is the pump I was leading towards the panworld or possibly an Iwaki 70rlt. Don't want to get too big of a pump and don't want to get to small of a pump so I thought I Would ask what others are using successfully!

how about the gen x mak4? 10 feet of head with 1.25" return line gives me about 800gph. its ben a good pump for me and the low power consumption compaired to the rest is nice too.

I use a Mak4 and it has been great. Ordinarily, I wouldn't suggest a pump that big with a 72G display, but with a big 75G sump, 30G frag tank, it would be ok.

Yes total water volume will be close to 200 gallons by the time I am all said and done and I build my skimmer! Gonna be one of the cool 6 footers And to think this is for only a 72 gallon bowfront.
