skimmer?
I'm thinking about purchasing a different skimmer, and need one that doesn't have to sit in the sump. My Berlin skimmer sits outside the sump, and the area where its pump sits is crowded by 2 other pumps. I want something like the Euroreef or Octopus, but I don't think they sit outide the sump. And I definitely do not want a hang-on-back skimmer!

You didn't say what size tank and sump/refuge you have. Assuming that it's a 75g with 20g sump, the DAS EX-1 would work as a external skimmer. If you want a high end/high performance unit, then the H&S A110 will work on your setup.
