kent pure-flo II ro/di auto top off question

hi,


i just set up a float and automatic shutoff valve kit for my ro/di resevoir.

i was wondering how this thing works and if it works well bfore i go fully trusting this thing.

i have it installed corectly i believe.

when i hold the float up as if the water level was to high . and it seems like the preasure builds up but my rodi keeps making noise.

did i not hold it for long enough or are these just worthless all together?
