Purple Up

Any one know if Purple Up is good for a tank? Does it work well and is it worth the money?

It's really not necessary. Given time and good conditions the coraline algea will grow.

I also agree with this. I didn't use anything and within 6 months, the rock was covered.

I generally try to stay away from all additives. If its not crucial for my system I wouldn't touch it.

LFS's swear by everything!! They are in business to make money. They recommended that I buy power compact lighting and told me I could keep anything. That same store weeks later told me that I needed MH lighting for any corals. Do research before you trust any LFS

I've seen coraline grow within 6 hours of purchasing some rock already covered in coralline.....Keep parameters where they need to be and in my limited experience it will grow like magic...kinda like how a chia pet grows lol

I agree keep your CA levels up and you will see coraline before you know it. I had a hard time also, then I started using Reef Crystals which has a higher level of CA and I have the purple stuff all over the place!

I used it a bit. didn't notice much change until I started monitoring my CA. It took off once I got the CA in balance.
