just for pretty good basic info, liveaquaria.com has good stuff on adult size and habits and requirements.

And thankyou, thankyou, thankyou for trying to find out: So much nicer to advise from the start than to try to get somebody out of a mess!

If you have a specific in mind, do ask online: someone will have had experience in the species.

My recommendation to anyone starting out is to pick up a copy of Scott Michaels Pocket Guide to marine fish.

Trust me my friend, the names are not important at all. I've own hundreds of different zoas and palys and don't know the name of a single one. In my opinion, they are a waste of valuable time.

my problem is that my girl want to help pick out the fish, we walk through the LFS and she's like" i want one of those, and how about one of these" then i gotta go look them up online one by one and figure out if they are an option or explain to her why they aren't a good choice.

there's got to be an eaiser way.
