Question on adding livestock
Hey,
Once my tank cycling procedure is done, can I add (2) percula clownfish and the clean up crew within two or so days or will that be too much bioload resulting in an ammonia spike? Thanks |

I would add the clean-up crew first and let this small increase in bioload prepare the tank to handle the larger bio-load of the perculas a week or more later.

I agree with above, in the beginning stages after a cycle, add things slowly, since the system is still balancing out, and it can get thrown off easily.

I started my 29g with a small CUC (added more later) and then 2 Percula clowns. Make sure your parameters are on target before starting and make additions slowly. Also, use a QT with future additions as one fish added several months later nearly wiped out my tank. Good luck.

I think the 50% waterchange is a little much. I would stay to 15 to 20%.
