Green algae during cycle
hey
green algae is forming on the glass of my tank. Is this sign of anything such as nearing end of cycle or is this just a typical nutrient buildup from the live rock and has no indication that something positive is happening. Can I say that there are bacteria that are converting ammonia to nitrate(from nitrite obviously)? thanks |

How old is this tank?
And if your useing main light full time this could cause this. |

You need to reduce lightin time to 1 or 2 hours then slowly bring up, this will help reduce algea blooms. Also if the flow is questionable this could help its growth.
