salt not dissolving
I have a bucket of salt that accidently got left open a little. It does not seem to dissolve now completely. Is it still OK? I was going to use this to rinse some sand that is in one tank and is going into another tank. Will it be OK?

I think it will be ok. It may take a little more time to dissolve completly. I had same problem last summer. I did not close lid completly and after a week salt was hard like a rock. With a little strugling I broke it into pieces and was fine to use.

It might be fine, or some of the salt might have gone through some chemical reactions and be insoluble. How much salt is left? I might just pitch the container.

Same thing just happened to me. I mix the salt, remove the powerhead to let solids settle to the bottom, and siphon the clear saltwater to a clean bucket. Been doing this for a couple of months without a problem.
BTW, do you use Instant Ocean ?
