i just saw my first life in my tank
its been a 2 weeks and now i see tiny snails, some shrimp like creatures that are probably pods
its cool for me hoping to see more soon

it's a great feeling, isn't it? Just wait until you see something wild--like a shrimp molt!

I agree with the flashlight in the middle of the night idea.
One of my favorite things to do. You'll see literally hundreds of creatures you have never seen before scatter like crazy. It's amazing what the night crew does and how you never even see them during the day.
