RBTA disappeared! please help
So I just got my RBTA a few days ago and he was already on the move. It slowly migrated and now I can't see him anywhere in my tank. I have a 120.
Should I be worried about him? Should I move the rocks to find him to save it? some say that they move until they find a comfortable space, but i am affraid he may not get enough light and die? any suggestions? |

As long as you don't see it stuck to a powerhead or intake, just leave it alone.

A while ago I had a BTA the live behind the rock. It will find a place it likes and settle there. Not much you can do.

Yeah give it some time, it'll stay inside your rock work for about a week or two before you really see it settled.

My first thought was powerhead. If it's not there, then let it adjust.
It'll find light if it needs it.

I would let it be just like everyone else. I would suggest NOT moving the rocks around if you don't know where it is. You don't want to move a rock if it's foot is half on it. You could tear it and kill the anemone.

Thanks all for the advice! I saw a tenticle deep within the rocks awhile ago, so it is still alive. I'll let it be.

yup, I love my signature.
The biggest thing is that if you DO move things around, they can smush it if its crammed under a rock, and a rockslide, etc. Its worse to go digging through your tank to see if something died than to wait and see if your ammonia raises.

my advice:walk away. do nothing. til tomorrow. if its still alive, it will hopefully be fine. If you do not see it, do not try to find it. it may be hiding. just LEAVE it alone Current Tank Info: starting over! 125 gallon. Soon to be home to Blackfoot clowns, A. nigripes |
