Please post any pics, for aquascaping RR AGA 110 (tall) tank

Setting up my 110 over the holidays and am interested in seeing
some pics of some aquascaping ideas. Planning on doing a rockwall on one end (tank is in a corner). I have two tanks that
I will be taking rock from so I have way too much rock...Looking for any ideas. Thanks in advance for posting.

Having way to much rock will limit you on what you can do. You will undoubtedly end up with a rockwall. I had the same problem you do, and I couldn't bring myself to get rid of any liverock. Now I have a rockwall.

....but this doesn't help you much, sorry.

I don't have a picture, but I'd like to suggest using your most prized pieces to build your aquascape and putting the rest in the sump. That way, your display is nice and not overcrowded, but you still have good biological filtration.

Thanks for the comments, I was thinking around those lines.
Just putting in what looks good not trying to cram it in there just because I have it. I think I have a few buyers in the area for some of it and will
try and put as much as I can in the sump.

Just curious, when you say just stick it in the sump, would you put it in the refugium section of the sump? I also have a 90 gal. and can see myself in the same boat.

Ya, was planning on throwing some of my nice pieces of leftover live rock in the refugium w/ chaeto. Along with a bit of a sand bed.

Thanks for the pics Peter, great job with the aquascaping. It is quite a challenge with only 18" of depth. I've figured out some ideas with the ninety but want to get the vertical as close to the top as possible as well. My overflow is offset to one side so and the tank is in corner (same side as offset) so that should help me out a bit.

Unless I find a reason not to, I'll fit my live rock (fist-sized or smaller) anywhere there's room in the sump (including the refugium section).

I had the same problem, my tank is tall and awkward 48x31x15 approx 97 gallons something like that...so I first had a wall, then I rescaped may times and finally decided to go with tonga rock due to narrowness of the tank...I put the rest of the smaller pieces of LR in my sump...so there's no sand just chaeto and LR...I'm still not 100% satisfied with the look of the tank and really need to upgrade... but here are some before and after shots...

Probably not what you were looking for but I did go with the rock wall. I did so because I wanted a lot of places to put frags and I also wanted the height.

I've actually re-aquascaped since this picture but it's still a rock wall.

looks great all the same. What height above the water and how far apart did you mount your halides. I have mine about 7 inches above the water line and about 11" apart....still haven't plugged them in yet. (going to finally set up over the holidays). CAn't wait for the "shimmer" as I've been running Flourescents the last 7 years.

I actually ended up taking a couple of the top most rocks out to make room for coral growth.
