tank cycle
I just got a 125 gallon tank from a friend who was moving. it has probably 30 lbs of live rock that came with it and I transfered around 50 gallons of his origional water. It took two weeks to get everything together and the water set without bubbles or pump, although I had the live rock and a few fish in a 30 gallon with lights and they all are doing great. I have just put all the old water into the tank and made the rest using the salt from the fish store and got the salinity (however you spell it) just right. Will this tank have to cycle again or do you think I can start adding fish immeiately? I also live near salt water so I went and got some live rock and oysters and put them into my sump, there are brine shrip that made it through the night and two hermit crabs and about 8 snails that all made it, should it be safe to add the fish in?
Thanks

The only way to tell, is to test the water parameters. If you got the liverock and oysters from the ocean you could bring in pollutants from them into the tank. Normally dont take anything from the ocean, it is illegal to collect liverock etc without a permit and you can face jail time and huge fines.
