Plague!! any quick fix

Long time no post... being that it's the aquarium season I figured that it's time to tidy up and get that "clean" look back in the tank. So you will see in this video that my tank is very overtaken by yellow paly's just wonderin if there is a better way than tweezers to get rid of these bad boys (thanks alot jbrown you still on here?)...

also on a side note a morph has happened you'll see it at the end of the video.. one of those yellow paly's has gone clear/pink and closely resembles an aptasia but it isn't. I'll take a better pick there are tiny pink tips at the polyp ends.. pretty cool.

Anyway just want to get these frigger OUT of my tank. but I think it's gonna be me tweezers and a WAR.

Happy holidays!

And why do you say it isn't aptasia? It would be dead if it were in my tank!

Otherwise known as yellow star polyps. I have heard they are related to aiptasia or in some way resemble their smell...to peppermint shrimp.
It is said, grasshopper, that one should not attempt to raise ysp in a tank with peppermints...

Which are easier to catch than ysp is to eradicate.

I'd recommend very young peps, about 5 is a good number. They're hungry and go for a nem-type meal.

I think that people go out of their way to purchase this stuff. I've had some before from purchasing live rock but it never lasted in my tank.
