In my opinion I would not choose Iwaki. Yes they are great pumps but the manufacturer have given aquarium hobbiests a hard time about warranty issues to the point where Iwaki refuses to honor there warranty. Also they use a lot of electricty. I purchased a Panworld 200 PS and it is a great silent pump. Very well made as well. And they use less wattage for operation. Check out the 250 PS.

Great pump. Has one of the highest rated head pressure. Motor made in Japan. A little noisy compared to other pumps. Only negative is that it uses 370 watts

What are you using it for? I think alot of the Beckett skimmer guys use them because of the high pressure rating. Have you looked at the Sequence pumps? They are very quiet with low wattage and have been super reliable.

I just bought a Blueline 100HD which is basically the same pump but yellow, cheaper, and quieter. I use it to pump water 125 feet thru garden hose up 30 feet to my tank for water changes. It is a great pump if you get a chance to get on, go for it.
