Help
I just bouth a 20" 1x96W Coralife Aqualight CF hood w/ Quad 50/50 -Square Pin to go with my new tank and once i got it out of the box there is only one switch that controls all lights similtaniously, and there are no moon lights. is this normal? do I need to add LEDs and seperate actinic to make it work? or will i be fine the way it is. I asked the guy at the LFS about the LEDs and he said they were strictly for asthetics is this true?

You only have one bulb in that fixture (1x96w) so there will be only one switch. The bulb you have is a combo bulb of both daylight and actinic. You can add more (seperate) actinic if you want, but you shouldn't need it. As for the moon lights, IMO they are not needed at all, but you can add them if you would like to view that tank under very low light to see what crawls out/around after the lights go out. Lots of little critters in your tank will only come out under very low light (or total darkness) when it is less likely they will be eaten by your fish.
