Rowaphos in a Phosban reactor

Is there much of a difference in the Two Little fishes Phosban media in a Phosban reactor vs using Rowaphos in the Phosban reactor? Do you have to use any filter pads to keep it in?
I read somewhere that the Rowaphos is smaller media and doesn't always stay in the chamber so you would need to add some sort of a filter pad to keep it in?

I use the rowa in my phosban reactor and just use the provided filter pads. It seems to work fine. I do find ( I'm sure I"m doing something wrong ) that the Rowaphos turns to a brick much quicker then the Phosban. Works great though.

I also used Rowa in reactor no problems but you can always buy extra pads and stick at the top and then for sure none will get through
