Feeding Starfish

Never kept starfish and this is my first one - a brittle. I read about feeding silversides but how often should i do this?

Generally speaking they will find stuff that lands in the rocks, but if you know where he is, put a silverside on a feeding stick and shove it down near where he lives. Its fun to watch them, they'll anchor themselves to the rocks with a few legs, and use the rest to grab the food.
