Any info on Icecap 250 watt 10k DE bulb?
I was wondering if anyone uses an icecap 250 watt DE 10k bulb? If so do you have a picture of it lighting your tank? Also hows it look compared to other bulbs you have used?
thanks

I have a pair that I got before they were released. Only used them for maybe 30 hours. They have pretty good par and basically a white bulb. Didnt see any blue in the output and may have a very slightest yellow tint that was easily overcome with a couple of blue T5's. I'd say that they are close to a true 10000K, maybe a little lower K because of the glass shield.
Should be a pretty good bulb for growth. The numbers on Sanjays site are not for this bulb. Those were an earlier 10000K that Icecap was working on so you cant go by Sanjays site for these. These are higher par and less blue than the numbers indicate for the old bulbs. |
