center brace for 30" tanks

can anyone tell me why a 29g or other 30" tanks don't have a center brace. my 29g is bowing at least a 1/4" on the front pain of glass. I know that tanks do this sometimes but it seems so extreme and I guess I was wondering if most 29g do this or is my tank doomed for failure and a wet floor?

If it was my 29g bowing .25" I would not feel right trusting it. Not that your tank won't hold but my 29g would not flex that much if at all. Could be the difference in manufacturers.

yeah it actually looks pretty incredible when you put a straightedge up against it.
