Blue supplementation

Currently I am running 400w BLV 14K bulbs. From water's surface to top of sandbed is 30". I want a more blue look, more 20k-ish. However, I still want the higher par.

I was thinking of changing to XM 10K, but those bulbs will need much much more blue. I would like the 14K to have more blue also.

How can I achieve this?

Problems with setup: I cannot add the supplemental lighting along the length of the tank (no room for me to access the tank if the bulbs are there). I can add the bulbs across the tank, in between the mh lamps (it would be possible to "angle/tilt" the bulbs slightly if needed).

My ballasts are the cheap aro ballasts that I used for vho's. They can also run pc's, but not sure about t5.

thanks

I run the Reeflux 250w 14K bulbs. When I installed these bulbs I removed the Actinic supplementation because it was no longer needed. Great for color and growth. I get similar growth rates as I did with my XM 10K.

This would allow you to get the desired results without having to change your setup.
