Group Buy on Reef Nutrition

Who's interested in a group buy on reef nutrition?

List off what product your interested in and if you have any idea of how much you'd like. maybe Gresham can shed a little light on how much we should buy.

Bob

Roti Starter kit

Can't we just buy one Roti starter kit and grow them out and shre them?

I'd Like,

Tigger pods
Phyto Feast
Roti starter kit

Why would you want to buy Roti Feast if your going to grow them?

maybe Gresham can tell us how much to buy of the products to last a few months per so many gallons

Its Phyto Feast that I want, for feeding the tank. Roti feast would be for someone that doesn't want to keep a culture of live ones.

I think it would be best to get a bag of rotifers and share them. Then we each get our own bottle of rotifer diet to feed our cultures.

How are we going to work this Bob. should we total our stuff up and give you money?

With this many people buying the roti culture, we'll be able to give each others culture if one of us happen to loose ours

I'm thinking lets buy 2 Roti cultures and a liter of the roti food. We can do a Santa Rosa and Windsor culture and then just share it.

I think we should also buy the other products in bulk and divide. I'll take a look at the web site and try and figure out what will last a few months for everyone.

Mike,
Let me figure out what we're ordering and the shipping. I'll just charge it on my CC and you guys can pay when you pick it up.

Looks like 6 people want roti starter kits, I'm thinking lets buy 2 and share. Any objections? owe and a quart of roti feed

Tigger pods 2 people

Phyto feast 2 people

The directions talk about 1-3 teaspoons per day per 100 gallons for ALL THE PRODUCTS.

Order would be

Tigger pods 2-6 oz
Phyto feast 1- 32oz
Roti starter kit 2 600k
Roti feed 1 32oz

Sound right?

We should have some kind of Sterile Bottles for the Rotifer Diet to split it up. Are you talking about getting the
Rotifer Diet High Density - 3600, 1 liter bag?

Guy,
Yah i thought we'd buy everything in bulk and split it up to save money. Do you want to secure the sterile bottles?

Tom are you saying buy just one roti starter kit and grow it out and split it up. i thought it would be wise to get two in case one doesn't make it . maybe a Windsor and Santa Rosa kit

No need for any sterile bottles for the RD3600 or RD. Your rotifers won't be sterile and I wouldn't advise trying to keep them sterile.

Currently no Macro-Feast, sorry.

One thing I would suggest is if you plan on buying rotifer cultures in hopes of splitting, etc, buy just 5m rotifers, a 5lb ClorAm-X, Liter of either RD and some rotifer floss. I find the rotifer floss really helps cut down waste in the rotifers and tends to allow for longer cultures (less prone to crashing).
