PCX-55 making a lot of noise....

Has anyone experienced this? I took it apart and cleaned it thoroughly of calcium deposits and it is still making a loud noise, however, everything I have read says that they are oil-free, maintenance free pumps, any idea what could be causing this? could it be a bearing or something?

I don't really know how to describe the noise, it isn't a grinding sound, more like a sound that makes you realize the pump is struggling with something, if that makes sense, it is still pumping, but the noise is significantly louder than usual.
