I was very dissapointed when I bought a krolia1, I don't think they move much water, even if they are rated at 499gph. I got more flow when I mickey moused the krolia 1 prop onto my minijet.

i tried the koralia nano...took it back to the lfs immediately. very disappointing. i tried a koralia #1 (400 gph) that i had in my 20 gallon tank. still not enough. i then went with a koralia #2. get's the job done a lot better. i have a 24 gallon nanocube by the way.

14g biocube here and i just added the K1. I thought it was the nano and at first the K1 would be waaayy too powerful; however, I now feel that the nano may have been too weak, and the K1 was the right choice. It is a bit large, but not to the point I want to remove it.
the K1 is doin a very nice job and my clowns absoutely love the increased flow. My anemone and LPS corals seem to be really enjoying the increased flow also. i will be making my stock retun into a 6" spray bar as soon as I can find the proper sized 90 degree angle attachement. So I expect eh K1 to do very nicely once the spray bar is in place. Very good product IMO; however, I believe the gph may be a bit askew.

I love the koralia nanos and the koralia 1s...
I used to have two koralia 2's in my 30 long, but each was putting out too much flow... I now have a koralia 1 and two nanos in my tank, and everything is doing great! Even with the big koralias, if you put your hand in front of the flow, it won't feel like much, but my koralia 1 is doing a great job of keeping good flow 30~ inches away from it. I am very pleased with these powerheads.

I have 2 nanos in my ap24 and I think the mix of that and the return is just right. I did a spray bar mod to my return.

I have 2 koralia nanos running in my 24 nanocube with a sieo controller. I also have a MJ1200 for the rear compartment. I love it! and I am really happy with the flow and how well everything moves around. I dont think I have a dead spot in the tank anymore

Two koralia nanos on a sieo controller? It's hard to believe. I thought koralias were controllerless.

well the sieo controllers don't turn on/off/on/off, but instead, they throttle down and back up. the powerhead stays on all the time, but it just throttles down and up instead of turning on and off. that is the only way that i have read that allows you to use koralias on a controller.

yeah what everl0ng said, lol. I also had four koralia 4's on a sieo controller for 3 months.... worked really well. Now with the nanos I love how it works/looks certainly see a difference from non controlled to controlled.

I just switched from 2 MJ 900 to 2 Korilla 1's in my 20 gallon long. I love them way better all around water movement. No dead spots and no no swim zones like a powerhead. Stream pumps are the way to go. Water flow is spread as apposed to a straight shot spray.

I just put 2 nanos in my 28G cube. I wish I would have gone with 2 1s instead, not quite enough flow for my liking. They should be fine in 10 gallon.
