ph probe inline?

can you put a ph probe inline ( using a tee and a probe holder) in a high flow pipe without danmage or would it be better to extend the pipe off hte tee a bit then put the probe ( worried about 220 gph in a 1/2 inch pipe destroying hte probe early)

this is for a diy ca reactor
