Need a quiet pump 300-400 Gph

What's the quietest internal pump out there? I have a mag 5 now and it's becoming annoying.

I have to disgree on Quiet One pumps. I used a 3000 and a 1200. Both were noisy and both would stop running at random. I would have to take the pump apart and manually spin the impeller to get them to restart.

I've got thousands into these tanks, so spending a few extra dollars for quiet quality is worth it!

Have you considered an external pump? I switched to a Velocity T2 about 2 years ago, it is without a doubt the quietest pump made. I'm not joking, when it runs you would swear it was unplugged.

I bought Ehiem because I heard good things about low noise. And it really is.

Tom, this tank is an all-in-one so everything must be inside. I may look into that pump when it's time to replace my little giant that's fairly loud. Loud enough for me to put in in the basement.

I just did a search on the Eheim 1250 and to my surprise you can find that pump for as little as $60 plus shipping from places that sell PC cooling equipment. At that price, why not?

FWIW, I've recently replaced two mag pumps with Quiet One pumps and the QO pumps do make less noise than the mags.
