which skimmer to buy aqua c ev 120 or Octopus PS150 Protein Skimm

I have a 75 gallon tank with 30 gallon sump i was wondering what you guys think what skimmer would be the best. An aqua c ev 120 or the ev180 or a Octopus Premium Extreme INT-PS150 Protein Skimmer. the aqua c ev120 is 300 bucks brand new the ev180 is like 340 and the octopus is only 200 and i think it comes with pump not sure. what do you guys think thanks

I hear lots of good things about the Octo's. I guess they are very similar to the design of the ASM's but less expensive. Good luck!

If noise is a concern, you may be better off with the Octo.

I'm pretty sure Aqua's don't come with a return pump for the price you are mentioning. Throw in some more cash for a mag 5 or mag 7 if you decide to go with that model.

I'd say it works very well. The Aquac 120 is a quality unit and they provide fine support if you need it. Its not silent though, especially with the mag 5. My only regret is that this won't be big enough for the 180g I'm planning.

I've been using an Aquac EV120 with Mag5 on my 55g and have always been happy with it.
