Ridding Green Grass
I inherited some rock that has a sig. amount of green "grass" growing out of it. It's really becoming a problem. I've been told it's Caulerpa, but haven't been able to verify that. It looks exactly like grass, not algae. Thick blades, growing off a vine like root. How can I get rid of this? I've pulled it off with my hands, but it comes off in very short pieces, and seems to grow back right away. Thanks.

Can you pull the rock out and let it dry?
I killed alot of caluerpa (sp?) with hypo salinity (not on purpose).

Cooking it might be the best solution. Basically...keep it in water of proper temp and salinity but complete darkness for up to a couple of months. This is best done in a plastic trash can or bucket.
