How Many lights?
How many bulbs would you reccomend over a 50g (36" long X 15" wide X 20" deep? I am looking at the Luminarc Stealth reflector seen HERE running 250W HQI. Would one have enough spread to cover the tank? I currently have a large collection of zoanthid that I am propagating in the very bottom of the tank, and other softies including many Florida Ricordia, frogspawn, candy cane etc. My zoas are starting to fade out lately though (under the same 300W of PC's they have ben under for a year now) and I think a better lighting system will definately help.

The spread wont be enough to cover the entire 36" tank. The ends of the tank will have a shadow unless you use supplemental lighting. Your zoos and softies will appreciate the upgrade in light.

I would go 2x150 with the LumenArcs. This should be plenty of light.

Well, my plan is to eventually put them over my 180 when I get it set up (a total of 3 250's I was thinking), so I figured I would buy what I will use in the future and not have to buy again.
