Angry ID this GUNK!!!!

This started appearing when I had high TDS (it was above 10, maybe 14) and since then I've done two water changes with zero TDS water (I normally do 30g a month) and I have an ATO system using the RODI.

I thought I had beaten it, but it's come back and it sucks:

1 Pic and 1 video to see it in action

My parameters are:

Temp 78.5
SG 1.025
Mg 1280
Ca 320 (I've struggled to get this higher)
KH 9 Dkh
ph 8.3

I agree, some kind of bacterial mat. Are you running phosguard or anything? Have you increased the bioload lately?

hmmm, I'm leaning toward the bacterial angle because my substrate is very hard in places last time I did a water change about 3 weeks ago, I had to break it up.

It's all over the tank, but that rock is really covered, some rocks are not.

yep, it does look similar, does it grow like weeds as well? I syphon it out, but it comes back, it even grows on the glass. it looks like little white/grey hairs. It's a scourge!

Thanks Tom!

Good stuff, it does seem to be Dinos, my PH tends to stick around 8.25 to 8.30, even with the Kalkreactor, I may need to increase the drip, as it only drips about 1 drop every 2-3 seconds.

I'll adjust my photoperiod as well, along with the siphoning out the goop, which I already do, but not as often as I should.
