Protein Skimmer

IM im about to switch from a wetdry to a refugium and was gonna upgrade a few other thing like going from a mag 12 to a mag 18 and also was gonna switch protein skimmers from the Proclear 150 i have now to a AquaC EV240 skimmer and was wondering if this was a good upgrade

upgrading from wetdry to refugium is a great upgrade

and ur new choice in skimmer is alos good...

the aquac is definitely an upgrade from what you have but you can do better for the money. check this thread out, these are pretty new and people really like them http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/fo...?s=&forumid=41

seems like a good product but the footprint is too big, one reason i really like the AquaC

the 160 will fi but it is rated for tanks up to 160 i assume but with my sump/refugium my water volme is about 160 so i want a skimmer rated for more then that

with only 8" its going to be tuff. can you move the baffle? it would be worth it

i could but i rather have a bigger return/refugium if i can get a skimmer to fit that space
