Berlin skimmer Problems?
Well i had a Triple-pass berlin protein skimmer given to me about a year ago
i had it on a 77gallon tank and couldn't get it to do anything for that entire year i know that theres tons of scum in there because if i put my seaclone on it it will pull a cup full of nice dark scum i under 24 hours, Any of you have problems/remedies? for this skimmer? or even mods? |

I have owned two of them at the same time on two different tanks and neither one worked worth a damm, if you were to combine the two skimmers together you would still end up with half a skimmer, do yourself a favor put that skimmer under your car tire and look into getting an octopus or a euro reef skimmer. (IEO- In everyones opinion). Sorry

check out the diy section
someone actually found a good for use for these skimmers converted it into a calcium reactor! very nice looking creation at that! regards ps i have one too - consider myself to have a skimmerless reef though!... just have to completely take it apart and clean it a couple times a week to get anything out of it - then it might be ok but only then. |

That will be strike two.
Don't waste your money on this reactor! I DO NOT have this reactor, but I know two people in our club who own it and according to them this is not a good buy at all. Just thought I'll let you know!! |
