shells

ok so my hermit crabs are killing my snails for thier shells as well as each other. my question is can i go to walmart and get a bag of shells and put those in the tank or do i need to go a LFS that sells empty shells? if i can go to walmart and pick up a bag of shells is there anything i need to do to them before i put them in the tank.

Just go to Wal-Mart or Hobby Lobby and get a bag of shells. Some people recommend boiling the shells and then rinsing them well before you put them in the tank, and it's probably not a bad idea.
