Can someone recomend fish?
Ok I have the Flaming Angel and the Clown Which the guy in the stor lied tome and said it was a damsel clown So he is good size.
My kids want color they wanted me to but a neon clown I was told the fight he was black and white much smaller then mine now. And we all love the yellow tsang But I hear they are not good in my size tank and alot of work not just frozen food. Need some help on a nice bright colored fish that would be good next for my tank? No reefs yet just fish

Lyriar Tail Anthia's, 1 male 2 females, might work, just read, check out on line fish suppliers who give you accurate info, LFS do not always, just making a sale, and no return policies usually, most of the on line suppliers do, so they give the info for educated purchases!!!!!

Firstly, what type of clown do you currently have? A damsel clown is kinda a redudant label, all clownfish are damsel fish. Damsel is a family of fish not a particular species. I'd find out what ya got so you know how to properly care for it, secondly, if the kids want another clown, inform them that two clowns in the same tank is a no no. Well, in a sufficiently large enough tank you could get away with it, but in a 75g, I wouldn't recommend trying. Also, never heard of a neon clown before either, may wanna try and get a picture or better descriptor of him. Yellow tang, I would avoid in only a 4ft tank. They really would be more apprecieative of a larger 6footer at the minimum.
So for some suggestions for colorful fish, I would recommend the following: Flasher wrasses (so many to list, all are about as colorful as they come. Add with caution, they are jumpers) Fiary Wrasses (same as above, jumpers but very pretty) Firefish, Dartfish, Mandarin dragonette (if ya get a fuge and more live rock anyways), If you don't plan on adding corals, that would greatly increase the types of colorful fish such as some of the smaller butterfly's and/or rabbit fish. Various cardinalfish come in nice colors as well. You already have a pygmy angelfish so avoid any more of the angels (pygmy or otherwise). A small group (3-7) chalk basses make a nice colorful display. Just a few thoughts their....I enjoy many of the smaller jumpers but if you can keep em from jumpin' they make for excellent display fish.

HI Ricky:
The store guy did not really lie. Most clowns ARE damsels. A good addition will be something sturdy since your starting try some royal grammas (gramma loreto) this are fishs that are almost sponsored by Tonka tough. I would recomend a cleaning crew of hermit crabs, emerald crabs, turbo snails, cleaner shrimps, and a pair of blennis for sand duty. The cleaner crew will keep your tank in top cond. and there really cool to watch. I know my kid loves the shrimps, snails & crabs. |

There are several damsels that are not blue. Three stripe damsels are black and white for example. Clown fish are in the damsel family as previously stated. I would be weary of any information given to me by your lfs. This information is pretty basic. If they are wrong about this, I would hate to hear about there solutions to complicated issues.
