Reef-safe Shrimp

What are some good common shrimp that are reef-safe?

I know cleaner shrimp are, might get one. What are some other shrimps that you guys have and you enjoy with no complaints.

I would like a shrimp who is a bit more active. Love the fireshrimp, but hides too much.

cleaners are about your best if you want to see them, most others usually hide.

Most shrimp are going to hide alot. And even within a set species, some specimens will hide while others won't. I've got 3 perppermints right now in various tanks, one will show himself at any given time, the other two I'll see every few months or so, and just enough to know it's still alive in the tank.

that said, cleaner and/or peppermints will probably be your best bet.

I've had plenty of bad luck with coral banded shrimps, I hear them recommended all the time but it's one I keep on my recommend NOT to get list.

I really like the coral banded, what is the issue with them?

Would they eat mushrooms and whatnot?

I sometimes wish I didn't have peppermint shrimp. They tend to steal food from my corals.

Sexy Shrimps seem very active to me. In the tanks at work they are rarely in hiding. But they are small tanks, it could just be not enough hiding places.
