Diatoms....
OK so here's the scoop.. I still have diatomes... GRRRRRRR!
Only onmy sand bed and not a ton.... I test and test and test everything is perfect! I have phosban in the filter... Unfortunately I do not yet have the test kit for the phosphates...You guessed it, it's on order! LOL! I have had the phosban in there for about 2 weeks... I do a 20% water change weekly, did 25% on Sunday... Ammonia 0 Nitrate 0 Nitrite 0 Ph 8.4 Alk 4 (Yeah it's a bit high) Salinity 1.024 Temp 79 Phosphates .20 (Over 2 weeks ago, before I put the phosban in. Test by the LFS) 84 LBS Live rock, 50 gallon tank Trickle filter ( Sump & refugium on order..Geesh isn't everything? LOL!) tank is 2 months old... Lightly stocked.... Thoughts?? Opinions? |

Ah ok, seems like it would be normal. I had some in my tank, but disapeared after a few days. Water changes seemed to help a lot.
in freshwater tanks, they were harder to combat. |
