Live Sand/Dry Sand
I have a 135 gal. tank with a 5 in sand bed. A little more than half of it is dry sand and the rest live sand. My question is... will my sand bed still function the way it should being that it's not all live

The bacteria will spread over time making it all into live sand. In fact it only takes a cup or two to seed a sand bed which you probably could have got free from a local reefer and saved on that live sand.
