Need Help with Lighting Design for In-Wall Tank
I am designing an in-all reef tank with a basement sump for a house that I am building. It is a 150g that is viewed from both sides. The dimensions are 60Lx24Wx24D. I have included a rough sketch of the kitchen side to give a visual.
My current dilemma is that I was going to use a Sunpod 60 for my lighting, but some cabinets sit right up against the side of the aquarium. The Sunpod vents out the side, so I don't think this is going to work. The area above the tank opens to a soffit, so there is more open space than just directly above the tank. I talked to my LFS about using Current Sundial HQI pendants instead of the Sunpod, but he said that the pendants don't like to be closed either. Does anybody have any suggestions for me?

You can go with these http://www.lumenarclighting.com/. I was going to get them for my tank, but it's not built in the wall

I agree on the Lumenarcs. If you are only using 2 halides to cover 60" of lenght you want the better light spread they provide.
