Aqua Medic Kalk stirrer or GEO kalk reactor?
I'm trying to decide between the Aqua Medic Kalkstirrer 1000 and the GEO Kalk reactor, I know they are different designs for about the same price. Does anyone have any opinions either way?
Thanks, Carlos |

the aquamedic is nice because u can just have it stir 24/7 and it doesn't cause a slurry. I have one, really nice unit.

I love my GEO kalk reactor. Built like a tank, extremely easy to use, works perfectly. I would definitely recommend the GEO.

Thanks for the replies. I'm leaning towards the aqua medic due to the fact that it stirs the kalk 24/7 similar to the Deltecs, but I'm concerned about the reliability of the stir motorm, I like the GEO due to it's reputation and quality. Decisions, decisions.
Thanks, Carlos |

I too have the Geo and like it very much. It does what it's supposed to, and if the motor ever fails, it's a quick swap out with a maxijet powerhead.
The design is good with a check valve on the water input (I think that's what it is), and the drain valve to lower the water within the chamber to make room for pouring in a slurry of new kalk is nice. You do need to add a timer to get it to mix regularly though.

Why would you want the kalk stirred 24/7 anyway? Mine is stirred 8 times a day at 1 minute intervals, thats all it needs.
