Head pressure computation
Can anyone tell me how to compute pump head pressure? I have a chart with my pump that tells me how many gallons it moves at what height. I think that it is rated for a 2" pipe. In my set up I pump from my sump down into my crawl space, through my chiller and then back up to my tank. I have 3/4" flexible tubing installed. I want to compute my gph flow at my tank return. I haven't found any type of formula for this.

which pump?
with 3/4" instead of 2" you will severely restrict the output

I am aware that I am restricting the output. What I'd like to figure out is by how much? Is there a formula out there somewhere that I can use?

One foot of vertical lift is equal to 0.433 psi pressure loss. 2.31 feet of vertical lift is equal to 1 psi pressure loss. Horizontal runs with properly sized pipe has little effect on head pressure. Fittings all contribute to losses. Calculate you total vertical lift and count up all your fittings then look at the calculator.
