Lawnmower blenny

I just purchased a lawnmower blenny and was curious as to what I feed it after my algea is gone. All of the algea wafers/flakes that I am seeing are for tropical not marine fish. Or is it one in the same. Appreciate any input!

Formula one makes a great algea based flake food. My lawnmower will eat anything that I put in the tank. He swims right up there with the rest of the fish darting and eating flake food and mysis shrimp. then heads for the rock to see if there is anything left. Hes a pit.

I agree, my LMB eats EVERYTHING and is also very obese. He is just a fantastic fish.

I mostly feed New Life Spectrum pellets.

Mine isn't a exactly a picky eater, but does a number on formula 2 small pellet. Mine looks like it's got a beer gut.

You can get "Nori" (the seaweed they make sushi with) from the asian food section at Wal-Mart for less than $2.

Get the non-seasoned kind and you can use a magent cleaner to hold it.

You can buy any number of sinking algae pellets. My LMB goes nuts over them and you should see him swimming around the tank like a dog with this disk like pellet in his mouth it's really funny.

Also, Nori is a must treat a couple of times a week.

I wish I had the luxury of running out of natural algae for mine...but on the plus side, mine is on the 'plus-size' for free! (huge algae belly - almost rivals my beer-bel.......never mind - )

Oh, and his name is Lemmy.

And my little piggy ate my soft corals so he cried all the way back to the LFS. Good riddance.

haha! I love their little things that stick out of their head and neck. Mine will sit right in the path of the flow out of my filter. It reminds me of a dog stickin its head out the window of a car.

keep em coming!

Here is a really old pic of mine (sorry it's blurry). He's Wally. He is the second or third salt water fish I ever bought. One time he got SO fat that I was really worried about him. Now a days he keeps to a little fatter than in this pic.

That's so funny, I never thought of that until you mentioned it. He totally looks like he's ready to be shot out of a cannon.
