Updated photos of my 300g
Well, figured it was time to take out the camera and update the board with pics of my tank.
The tank is a 300 gallon display, 40 gallon sump, 110 gallon refugium. Inhabitants are: Coral...to many Anthias, about 30, maybe 8 species Achiellies Tang Niger Trigger M/F Flame Wrasse M/F Pylei Wrasse Mystery Wrasse and 5 other misc. wrasse and 10 or so other fish Starting with the full tank shot Right half of the tank Left half My favorite, the tang eating the mag float I use as an algae clip My scoly's My favorite scoly that same scoly open up looking for food Wall hammer Orange Torch Echino Well thats all for now. |

Those Scoly's are sick.
I saw that you have a Niger Trigger,how is he with your corals,& hermit's?

I like the focus on the anthias. I'm sure it makes the tank look much more natural.
Looks like someone needs a frag tank

WOW!! that's gorgeous
you wouldn't happen to be trying to sell any of those frags off your sandbed would you??? what spectrum lights are you running? looks pretty blue.

That tank makes my 55 look like a pico tank!
Awesome pictures! I'd likey to swoop my hand to the bottom of the tank and grab some of those frags too!

Thanks for the comments,
the Niger is actually the first fish I ever got. I will have had him for 2 years in May. Knock on wood, he has never looked at a coral or crab, maybe once a month he might chase a blue chromis only at feeding time. LOL, not going to frag anything really soon, need to let things grow out. As far as lighting I have 2X250MH 12k, and 4 VHO's...that might be the camera...I am terrible with the options, flash, etc on it. 99% of the corals and fish in my tank came from www.areefcreation.com Its a store in upstate NY, right by the airport that has hands down the best corals I have seen. |
