AGA Rim Thickness

On a standard AGA tank, how thick is the rim. I'm not home right now and did not want to go home, measure, then to the hardware store.

I have a SunPod on my 20L and I want to put it on some wood block to raise it up a bit. Similar to the pic below.

the rim on my 55g measured 1/2 inch surface area and 5/8 inch including rounded edges
